Hospital Volunteer Opportunities
Greeter--Volunteers greet patients and hospital visitors, provide directions, and escort patients to lab and radiology when needed. Individuals will also deliver the mail throughout the hospital.
Customer Service--Volunteers stationed in the clinic waiting room serve as a liasion between medical staff and patients, escort patients, answer questions, and replenish the coffee and snack station.
Gift shop--Proceeds from the gift shop are donated toward patient or nursing home resident needs. Volunteers serve as cashiers and assist shoppers, and are welcome to serve on the Gift Shop Committee that helps plan special events as well as shops for merchandise.
Lunch cashier--Volunteer serves as cashier for "Getaway Lunch" 11 a.m.-1 p.m. two to four times per month.
Nursing Home Volunteer Opportunities
Fun with movement -- lead residents in a simple, 30-minute stretching routine to help increase their mobility.
One-to-one visits--Visit nursing home residents in their rooms one to four times per month. Volunteers would have the opportunity to meet residents during group activites prior to starting room visits. Schedule is flexible.
