H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Information

Luther Midelfort will hold a public vaccination clinic for both seasonal and H1N1 influenza.

Seasonal influenza vaccine is available to anyone 6 months or older. At this time, H1N1 vaccine is available to protect people most at risk, based on state health department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. The people who can receive H1N1 vaccinations are:

  • Pregnant women
  • Families and caregivers of infants ages 6 months or younger (Parents, siblings, daycare providers, etc.)
  • Children ages 6 months through 4 years old
  • Youth and adults ages 5 through 64 years old with chronic medical conditions (Asthma, diabetes, heart disease, etc.)

No appointments are necessary; walk-ins are welcome. The public flu clinic will be at:

Luther Midelfort - Clairemont Campus, 733 W. Clairemont Ave.

  • Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 23 and 24, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Regarding H1N1 vaccine:

H1N1 flu vaccine is in limited supply. Luther Midelfort will be offering H1N1 vaccine during this  clinic while supplies last. As H1N1 vaccine becomes more readily available, it will continue to be offered.
Children under 10 years old will need two H1N1 flu vaccines. The second would be given at least four weeks from the date of the first one.
