LAKE CITY, MN – Lake City Medical Center – Mayo Health System (LCMC) would like to invite all interested community members to attend an open house event to kick-off its nursing home renovation project, Life Matters Here. LCMC is hosting the open house on Thursday, October 1 from 3 – 7 p.m. at the nursing home in Lake City.

Life Matters Here is a five-phase project with the ultimate goal of increasing quality of life for residents by creating a facility that supports person-centered care.  LCMC recognizes the importance of providing a home-like environment for its residents, and also believes that a more social model of care will greatly benefit individuals who call the nursing home their home. 

The open house offers members of the community the opportunity to learn more about the project, as well as enjoy hors d’oeuvres and apple crisp. In addition, attendees will have a chance to tour the home and review the architectural renderings for the future renovation. LCMC administrators and Development Council members will also be available to answer questions.
