Join us on Saturday, June 27 for Lake City Rotary Club’s second annual “Circle of Life” fundraising run and walk at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City. Co-sponsored by Lake City Medical Center – Mayo Health System (LCMC) this year, the event focuses on raising funds to renovate LCMC’s nursing home. 

We invite you to participate in the following ways:

• Register to run or walk the 5K or 10K by returning the registration form with payment or register online at www.active.com. Bring a team from your organization or come and join those already participating.

• Gather a “cheering squad” and advertise your organization (we will provide the signage). You bring noisemakers, boom box, or instruments to cheer the runners or walkers on. Make signs with encouraging words. Report at 7:15 a.m., and your group will be placed along the route to cheer the runners until 9:30 a.m.

• Join the team as a run sponsor for $200. Your name will be printed on the t-shirt  included in every participant’s registration packet. Your name will be placed along the route.

The renovations at LCMC’s nursing home are part of the Life Happens Here project and focus on creating social and gathering spaces necessary for residents to experience a higher quality of life. Participate for those long-term residents who can no longer run or walk and the short-terms ones working on regaining their strength to run and walk again!
