Bowling Event Proceeds Benefit Project Pink

Members of Lake City Ladies’ Bowling League who served on a “Bowl 4 the Cause” committee recently donated $1,050 in proceeds from two bowling events to Project Pink. Led by Lake City Medical Center – Mayo Health System (LCMC), Project Pink’s focus is breast cancer awareness and education, as well as raising funds towards the purchase of a digital mammography machine.

“Bowl 4 the Cause” took place on October 4 and 25 at Port of Call. On October 4, 24 teams participated in the Child-Adult event, while 30 individuals bowled and others participated in the October 25 No-Tap and Stretch Raffle event.

Langdon and Ryan, who work at LCMC and are part of a Project Pink committee, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. Lund, Dwelle, Langdon and Ryan are all breast cancer survivors.
