Talent Show Proceeds Donated to Project Pink

Members of the Lake City Medical Center – Mayo Health System (LCMC) Auxiliary presented a check this week to the medical center to show their support for Project Pink. The $3000 contribution will help with efforts surrounding breast cancer awareness and education, as well as raising funds towards the purchase of a digital mammography machine. Auxiliary members raised the funds during a talent show they organized in September, called Lake City Presents.  LCMC is currently about half way to its goal of $300,000.

Auxiliary members presenting the check include, from left, Joanne Landers, Mary Jean Oliver, Linda Ordorff and Cheryl Huettl. Accepting the check on LCMC’s behalf are employees Anne Olson, Connie Carpenter and Karen Malone. Olson and Carpenter are also breast cancer survivors.
