Welcome to
Franciscan Skemp Foundation
Throughout its history, Franciscan Skemp Healthcare has benefited from a tremendous philanthropic relationship with the community.
This essential partnership began more than 125 years ago as the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration prepared to open the region’s first hospital in
La Crosse – a modest 35-bed facility named St. Francis.
Since 1973, charitable support for the organization has been coordinated by Franciscan Skemp Foundation. Every day we receive gifts from generous individuals and organizations across the region. These gifts are imperative to maintaining compassionate, high quality healthcare, by supporting such diverse areas as:
- medical technology
- medical research
- cardiovascular services
- cancer center care and programs
- patient and staff education
- diabetes care
- the neonatal intensive care unit
- hospice
- pastoral care,
And importantly…
- programs that extend medical care to those in need.
We ask your partnership as we work to further the Sisters’ healing mission in the 21st century. Today, just as in 1883, and every year since, your support makes all the difference. Thank you.
